Most amazing experience in NYC. The only downside is the wait. Arrived at 5pm (opening) and had to wait until 6:30 to be seated on a Friday night. Ambience is cozy and warm, and the decor electric. It's very intimate, and you do sit shoulder to shoulder, so keep that in mind. Food was really good and very affordable. The jazz was so wonderful!

SO GOOD!! This restaurant doesn't do reservations so we came a little early to line up before they opened at 5pm. We got in line around 4:45 and got in around 5:15, so it wasn't too bad. The restaurant is pretty small so if you go late it could be a long wait. Everything we got here was so good though, so flavorful, and the cod roe udon was so creamy and delicious. The portions are pretty filling, we had enough to take for leftovers. There was also live jazz music which added to the ambiance. One of my favorite meals from New York, would definitely come back!!

Went to Tomi Jazz around the New Year, and the line was longer than expected. We arrived around 4:45pm and waited until 8:15pm till we got seated. The vibes inside were really nice! It's cute and has character. The jazz sounded great too. The food was yummy. Would recommend the cod roe udon, which was so creamy and had a good seafood flavor. I wish it had a little more something else going on like maybe an additional crunch, but overall it was delicious. We also got the omurice, and while the flavors were good, the egg was way overcooked, more hard scrambled in texture. Wouldn't recommend. Also do get the lychee mocktail! Very refreshing and light. If the wait wasn't so long, would def love to come back here more often.

All about the overall experience! The vibe at this place is immaculate and the food is pretty good too! I highly recommend their mentaiko (cod roe) spaghetti or udon! The seafood spaghetti was amazing too. I got the Zen cocktail and it was great! There are plenty of servers and they're all super nice and attentive. Excellent service! My biggest recommendation is to arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to their opening time of 5pm to be seated as soon as possible. The first time I was there I went after they opened and had to wait around 2 hours. This time I got there at 4:40ish and got in within 35 minutes.

Long wait but great vibes and food. Music was perfect volume for the small space. It made someone from out of town feel like they made some special memories.
